Who we help

We’d rather tell you now than after you’ve paid a deposit. Here’s who we’re for, and who we’re not.

Our assessments

A primary-school child at a desk looking out of a window

Ages 4–18

ADHD assessment

Questionnaires from you and your child’s school, a two-hour appointment with Dr Bond including height, weight, blood pressure and heart rate, and a detailed report with a clear conclusion about ADHD and recommendations for home and school.

Ages 2–18

Autism assessment

Information from you and your child’s school or preschool, and time with Dr Bond looking at how your child communicates, plays, relates to others and manages routines, change and sensory experiences, including the ADI-R and ADOS-2. The report explains whether your child meets the criteria for autism.

Ages 4–18

Dual ADHD and autism assessment

One process and one report covering both ADHD and autism, so your child doesn’t go through two separate assessments. The report explains both findings and how they fit together.

Ages 6–16

Full assessment

Everything in the dual assessment, plus a cognitive assessment (WISC-V) that shows how your child learns, remembers and solves problems, and where they need support at school.

Signs parents often notice

ADHD

  • Trouble focusing, following instructions or finishing tasks
  • Easily distracted, even during things they enjoy
  • Forgetful, disorganised, or often losing things
  • Constantly on the go; finds it hard to settle, sit still or wait
  • Talks over others, interrupts, or acts before thinking
  • School raising concerns about attention, behaviour or learning

Autism

  • Differences in speech, language or back-and-forth conversation
  • Finding friendships, play or group situations hard
  • A strong need for routine, and distress when plans change
  • Very intense or narrow interests
  • Being over- or under-sensitive to noise, light, textures or tastes
  • Repetitive movements or repetitive play

We also offer

Medication clinic

If medication is recommended after an ADHD diagnosis, reviews are carried out here by our specialist nurse and Dr Bond: every two weeks while the dose is adjusted, then every three months. €120 per review.

Transfer of Care

Already diagnosed with ADHD elsewhere? Send us the diagnostic report first; it’s free. Once Dr Bond has reviewed it, we’ll email you a link to book a consultation, and we can then take over prescribing and reviews. €700.

School reports

A report or letter you can share with your child’s school, setting out the findings and recommended supports.

When another service is better

We’re a specialist assessment clinic, not a crisis service, and we don’t assess adults. Another service is usually better if your child:

  • has been diagnosed with or treated for another mental health condition, such as anxiety, depression, OCD, psychosis or bipolar disorder
  • has ever harmed themselves or talked about wanting to die
  • is attending CAMHS or is on a CAMHS waiting list
  • has a learning disability or significant developmental delay
  • has an eating disorder or is significantly restricting food
  • is currently unable to attend school because of emotional or behavioural difficulties

Those children deserve a team looking at everything together. That’s what Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) are for. If your child needs that, we’ll tell you, and we’ll write to your GP recommending a referral. For an adult assessment, your GP can advise on adult services.

If you’re worried about your child’s safety right now, contact your GP or your GP’s out-of-hours service, or call 112 or 999.
